When should you use the Operational approach?

Operational Control is used to solve the immediate one-off problems. However, it does not eliminate the circumstances that allowed the problems to arise in the first place.

This means, in most cases, the problems are almost certainly going to repeatedly arise in the future.

You use the Strategic approach when you need to ensure that the same type of problems do not keep continually re-occurring.
