Slide 7 of 11
What organisational systems affect the way people organise?

First of all, there are the obvious ones, such as the reward systems and the measurement systems. If one person is rewarded by achieving a goal that is in conflict with a goal that someone else is trying to achieve, we should not be surprised if they are continually in conflict with each other, rather than working as a team.

Alternatively, if people are rewarded on Quantity, we should not be surprised if they have little interest in helping those who are trying to improve Quality.
